What drives cost
The factors that change a staging quote.
- The number of rooms staged
- Whether the home is vacant or occupied
- How long the staging stays up, and any extensions
- Whether outdoor areas are included
- How the stager prices: per room, per square foot, or per item
Many stagers don't publish their prices, so the number only appears after a call. We think you should know before you ask.
Before you hire
Questions to ask any stager.
- Do you charge by the square foot, by the room, or by the item?
- Are there extra charges for stairs, large furniture or hard-to-reach rooms?
- What rooms does the base price cover?
- How long does the staging stay up, and what does an extension cost?
- Is the price on your website, or only available after a call?
- How soon can you install? (Many stagers book three to six weeks out.)
- How quickly will you reply, and can you adjust the staging after installation?
